natural acne treatment, acne treatment productWhen considering about acne treatment the first thing which comes to a person’s mind is the ointment tube which is usually found in the pharmacies and cosmetic shops. Well these ointments constitute only a minuscule part in acne treatment. There are various options available for acne treatment besides ointment. 1. Exfoliating the skin: As told earlier salicylic acid solution is used in this procedure.
  2. Topical bactericidal: same as above Benzoyl peroxide cream is used.
  3. Topical antibiotics: In this procedure antibiotics such as erythromycin, clindamycin, Stiemycin or tetracycline are used.
  4. Oral antibiotics: erythromycin or one of the tetracycline antibiotics (tetracycline, the better absorbed oxytetracycline, or one of the once daily doxycycline, minocycline or lymecycline) is used. Trimethoprim is also sometimes used.

  6. External retinoids: A group of medications such as tretinoin, adapalene and tazarotene are used for the treatment.
  7. Oral retinoids: This treatment is done by a daily oral intake of vitamin A derivatives like isotretinoin over a period of 4-6 months.
  8. Phototherapy: In this therapy visible lights are used for demolishing the acne cells.
  9. Photodynamic therapy:  Intense blue/violet light (405-425 nanometers) decreases the number of inflammatory acne lesion by 60-70% in 4 weeks of therapy. Using of these lights is the basic concept of photodynamic therapy.
  10. Laser surgery: This is the 21st century surgery. In this surgery laser is used to cure the acne and also to remove the scars left by the acne.
